A word to parents:

I look forward to teaching your child the subject of Accounting Fundamentals and Personal Finance. Since all of you parents wish for your child to become independent one day, there are critical business skills that will be taught in Both Courses. Furthermore, you need to know that there are many different college majors that require a student to take College Accounting.  Doctors, Veternarians, Attorneys, CIS majors and business majors are just a few of the examples of people who had to take Accounting in College.  Taking Accounting in High School will give your child the edge he or she needs to be successful in college or business. Furthermore, by learning the Accounting program called Quickbooks, your student will gain valuable knowledge that will help them to compete on the world stage.

Concerning the subject of Personal Finance, I focus on the Dave Ramsey Course. Dave Ramsey has a wonderful curriculum just for High School students and is generally well received by the students. As parents, I encourage you to encourage your children to embrace the concepts in this Personal Finance Course. Many of the things that you want to teach your child about money are covered in this course. Hopefully your child and you have such a close relationship that they hang on every word and piece of advice that comes from you. However, if your child is like most, they will listen to their teacher in times when you've been trying to tell them the same thing. Please encourage them to embrace what they are learning in Personal Finance and then I will take it from there.

I look forward to getting to know your children and maybe even you.

Sincerely,

Chris Tice
